Join Chinatown Today for our upcoming event, Spirit of the Square! Honouring and celebrating the Hungry Ghost Festival, this community art fair will be held at the Chinatown Memorial Square on Sunday, August 27, from 3-6pm.
The Hungry Ghost festival is held on the 15th night of the seventh month of the Chinese lunisolar calendar, when the hell gates are opened and restless ghosts are free to roam among us for food and entertainment. In honour of this event, attendees can make crafts such as lanterns to guide lost souls, and share stories through the community story-mapping and zine-making workshops.
For more information, see the event page on our website or register on Eventbrite!
