Upcoming Event: Hanami – 12:30pm Sunday April 13

Powell Street Festival Society is hosting its annual spring community care event, Hanami at Oppenheimer Park on Sunday, April 13, from 12:30pm-3:00pm. Celebrate spring with Japanese curry rice, cherry blossom origami, and button making with WePress. The event will also include a tribute to Elder Clint, who played a vital role in past community care event.

For the health and safety of all our community members (especially seniors, disabled and immunocompromised folks), we recommend that attendees wear facemasks (preferably KN95, KF94 or N95).

Transit: Oppenheimer Park is accessible by bus. The park is served by the 4, 7, and 209 buses, with stops for the R5, 14, 16, and 20 located nearby on Hastings Street. The nearest skytrain station is Stadium-Chinatown, which is a 20 minute walk away.

Parking: There is street parking available around the park.

Seating: There will be limited seating available at the event.

Bathrooms: There are gendered public bathrooms at the fieldhouse at Oppenheimer Park.

Venue Accessibility: Some activities may be held on the grass or uneven/unpaved surfaces.
