In collaboration with Chinatown Today & Bagua Artist Association, the Youth Collaborative for Chinatown is bringing back Hot & Noisy to ring in the Lunar New Year! Join us at Chinatown Plaza mall (180 Keefer Street) from 3:00pm-6:o0pm on Saturday February 8, 2025 and celebrate the new year with mahjong, writing traditional decorations 揮春 (fai1 cun1 | huī chūn), ring toss, crafts, games, and karaoke!

Cost: Free!
The Lunar New Year lasts 15 days, but the weeks after the parade are often the quietest in Chinatown. Help us extend the 熱鬧 (jit6 naau6 | rè nào) energy beyond New Year’s Day and the Parade and ring in the year of the wood snake!

- your own poh poh/gung gung (or ngin ngin/maa4 maa4/naai4 naai2/ je4 je2)
COVID Safety Information
For the health and safety of all our community members (especially seniors, disabled and immunocompromised folks), we recommend that attendees wear facemasks (preferably KN95, KF94 or N95).
Accessibility Information
Transit: Chinatown is accessible by transit via skytrain. The closest skytrain station is Stadium-Chinatown, which is a 10 minute walk from Chinatown Plaza.
Parking: There is street parking in Chinatown. The nearest lots are located at Chinatown Plaza and International Village mall.
Seating: We will provide limited seating, but feel free to bring chairs for yourself and others!
Bathrooms: There are public bathrooms in the Chinatown Plaza mall.
